A current account for non-residents that you can open with your passport
The Cuenta Mundo for non-residents is a non-interest bearing current account1 with full liquidity, which comes with a package of associated products and services to make your day-to-day easier. It has a maintenance fee of €16 per month (NIR 0%, APR: -1.32%).
To open this account, all you need is to be over 18 years of age and to be non-resident in Spain.
Santander Debit Card with no issue or maintenance charges
The Santander Debit Card enables you to make purchases and:
- Make free debit cash withdrawals from Santander ATMs in Spain and 30,000 Santander-branded ATMs worldwide.
- With the Santander app, you can activate your card, check your PIN, check your spending and the limits available, and even block your card in the event of loss or theft. Download the Santander app now.
- You can configure the alert service for purchases via the Santander app.
Transfers
There are no fees for transfers made online or at ATMs, except urgent or immediate transfers. This applies to:
- Transfers in euros, both in Spain and European Union countries, plus Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Switzerland and Monaco.
- Transfers in one of the following currencies, both within Spain and to European Union countries, plus to Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Switzerland and Monaco: Swiss franc, Czech koruna, Danish krone, Norwegian krone, sterling, forint and zloty.
You will also be exempt from paying the trading and clearing charge for national cheques in euros paid into this account.
