Protection for the self-employed and professionals

For you, if you are self-employed or a registered professional and your income depends on what you do every day, you can count on an insurance that gives you peace of mind.

Therefore, the Temporary Disability Insurance for the Self-Employed protects you from loss of earning due to sick leave or an accident.

When taking out this insurance:

  • You will have a capital that covers the loss of earnings when you cannot carry out your profession due to being off work for illness or an accident.
  • You will know the total amount of your compensation beforehand, because a scale1 establishes how many days correspond to each medical diagnosis. Furthermore, if you are hospitalised for at least 24 consecutive hours, you may receive an additional daily compensation.
  • You can depend on streamlined procedures. As compensation is set by a scale1, you will not have to wait until you are discharged to collect it.
  • You will be able to access additional services2, such as personal home help and treatments with specialists.
