What is the one-year Euribor?
- It is the monthly simple arithmetic average of the daily values of the Euribor® benchmark, which is set out in the Annex to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/1368 of 11 August 2016 establishing a list of critical benchmarks used in financial markets, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/1011 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

How is the one-year Euribor calculated?
- These averages are calculated by the European Money Markets Institute (EMMI) and published on its website or in any media through which it disseminates such information. In the absence of such publication by the EMMI, the Banco de España will calculate and publish the monthly averages.

When is the Euribor published?
- The Euribor is published daily at 11.00 for each of its defined terms: 1-week, 1-month, 3-month, 6-month and 12-month.

What types of Euribor rates are there?
- Euribor at one week, one month, three months, six months and one year.

How does the Euribor affect your mortgage payments?
- The one-year Euribor is the index commonly used to calculate variable interest rate for mortgage loans. If your mortgage is variable or you are in the variable stretch of a mixed mortgage, the interest rate is revised half-yearly or annually and varies according to Euribor fluctuations, so the monthly instalments you pay may go up or down depending on whether this index rises or falls.
