HEALTH INSURANCE FOR INDIVIDUALS

Santander Aegon Health Insurance for individuals provides the coverages and guarantees¹ to protect your health and that of your loved ones. Choose the one that best suits your needs and those of your family:

Santander Aegon Salud Básico. Access consultations and tests without hospitalization, with the lowest price in our range thanks to a copayment system.
Santander Aegon Salud Cuadro Médico. Receive extensive medical assistance with access to cutting-edge techniques, hospitalisation and the possibility of choosing the best centres in Spain.
Santander Aegon Salud reembolso. Freely choose the doctor or centre to go to in Spain or abroad outside the agreed medical staff and we will refund 80% of your medical bills up to €150,000 per insured person per year.

SENIOR HEALTH INSURANCE

Santander Aegon Senior Health is an insurance policy for people aged 68 and over to supplement their public healthcare. It includes¹ consultations and tests without hospitalisation at an affordable price thanks to a copayment system. It also includes additional services for day-to-day care in the event of convalescence at home or being housebound.

You don't need to complete a health questionnaire or undergo medical tests to take out the insurance.

Common questions about this insurance

What is a grace period?

It is the period of time, counted from the entry into force of the policy, during which the Insured is not entitled to the benefits derived from the insurance for certain specialities.

What is copayment?

In addition to the insurance premium, the Policyholder must pay the copayment amounts detailed in the policy. These amounts are applicable for each visit, consultation, test or intervention carried out on the Insured as a consequence of the use of the coverages included in this Policy.

You will have a co-payment on Santander Aegon Basic Health and Senior Health products. With Santander Aegon Salud Cuadro Médico and Reembolso, you will not have to pay any type of copayment for the use of services (both for individuals and self-employed workers).

Can I choose the medical centre I want to go to?

With Santander Aegon Salud you will be able to choose from a wide national medical team of more than 50,000 professionals and 1,000 healthcare centres.

From when can I use my health insurance?

From the moment it is taken out, except for those benefits that have a grace period, for which it will be necessary to wait until the end of the grace period.

Do I have dental coverage?

Optionally, Santander Aegon Salud offers the possibility of contracting dental coverage for just €3 more per month per insured party.

Dental coverage gives access to more than 27,000 professionals, more than 2,300 dental clinics and more than 58 free procedures.

Can I split the payment?

Yes, on a monthly basis only by digital contracting; on a quarterly basis and every six months through all channels.

Do I have coverage throughout Spain? And abroad?

Yes, with Santander Aegon Salud you have access to a large national medical team of more than 50,000 professionals and 1,000 clinics.

Abroad, you have Travel Assistance coverage that covers up to a limit of €15,000/year and includes loss of luggage and missed flight. If you take out the Santander Aegon Salud Reembolso product, you can request a reimbursement in the case of international healthcare (both for individuals and self-employed persons).

Are there tax advantages when taking out the Santander Aegon Salud Autónomos health insurance?

In the direct estimate method, the payment of health insurance premiums is a deductible expense in the part corresponding to the policyholder's coverage and that of his spouse and children under the age of 25 who live with him/her, up to a limit of €500 per person.

Are there discounts for the number of insured persons?

If you have contracted Santander Aegon Salud Cuadro Médico or Santander Aegon Salud Reembolso, you can receive a discount for the number of insured persons.
