These are pension schemes that invest in fixed income assets and have been designed for investors looking for medium to long-term returns. The investments contemplated in the Fixed Income Pension Schemes focus on the bond market, both sovereign and private issuers at European and international level. This investment is generally made in terms of longer than one year.
Banco Santander adapts the type of Fixed Income Pension Scheme to each customer profile according to the risk they want to assume the investment horizon established. The choice will be determined by the percentage of the investment in high yield (bonds issued by entities with low ratings that pay a higher interest to the investor due to the risk they assume when acquiring them), the credit quality of the bonds, the investment term, the type of issuer and the estimated duration of the investment.
In addition, Banco Santander's fixed-income pension plans promote environmental and/or social characteristics (Article 8 of the SFDR Regulation).
