How do I recover my password?

If you have forgotten your password for accessing our digital channels or it has been blocked, there are several ways to obtain a new one. To do this through the Santander app:

  • Open your Santander app and tap "Recover password." It's in the centre of the three options that appear at the bottom of the screen.
  • Select your ID type (NIF, CIF, NIE or passport) and complete your details.
  • The screen will show two options to recover your password:
  • With your card details or security questions
  • With your fingerprint or your face, only if you have activated biometrics to use it with Santander Key

You can also recover your password from your PC, whether you are an Individual or Company, by clicking on "Customer Log-in" / "Problems with your password" or "Forgot your password?", respectively. The rest of the process is the same as explained for the Santander app.

In Corporate Online Banking, you will have to enter your username and the last four digits of the associated telephone number. You will then receive an SMS with the new password, which will have to be changed when you log in the first time for greater security. If you do not have an associated mobile number or if you have changed number, please visit your branch to get this information updated.

Remember that your password comprises eight numeric digits and you can use it to check your accounts. If you would like to perform transactions on the digital channels, you need to sign a multichannel contract. You can do that:

  • Via the Santander app (on the home screen, select "Menu" and "Get Passwords").
  • Via the Santander website ("Customer Log-in"/”Register for Online Banking").
  • At any of our branches (locate your closest branch in the branch search).
