Transparency without the fine print
At Banco Santander, we want you to make decisions with all the information at hand and with no nasty surprises. That’s why we explain the conditions clearly and simply, avoiding the dreaded fine print. Here, transparency comes first.
1. Promotion valid from 1 March 2026 until 31 December 2026. For Santander customers who are beneficiaries of one of the Santander Scholarships in 2026 included in the Legal Terms and Conditions, and who receive the scholarship funds into one of their Banco Santander accounts, to be eligible they must maintain a minimum daily balance of €30 in that account and also have the Bizum payment service linked to the same account. 2. You must maintain a minimum daily balance of €30 from the date you join the promotion until the end of the Validation Period described in the Terms and Conditions. The Validation Period begins in the month following the scholarship award decision and lasts for a maximum of three months.
3. Exclusive account for new customers. Non-interest-bearing account (0% NIR, 0% AER).
4. These are the Banco Santander accounts eligible for this promotion: Santander Account, Online Account, Group Account, Smart Account and Basic Payment Account.
