Subsidies and grants for sustainability
Discover the public aid (Next Generation Funds launched by the European Union and the Spanish Government to pave the way towards the ecological transition. Aid for home renovation
Green Energy Efficiency funding is focused on each of the programmes of the Royal Decree 853/2021 on Residential Renovation and Social Housing.
Programmes focus:
Program to support rehabilitation actions at the building level
This programme seeks to finance works or actions in residential buildings that improve energy efficiency, with a special focus on building envelopes: facades, windows, boilers, etc. Those who may benefit from this programme are owners or usufructuaries of single-family detached dwellings or grouped in rows, and owners of existing collective housing buildings, as well as their dwellings, whether they are natural persons or legal entities of a private or public nature.
What requirements must be met to enjoy the benefits of this programme?
- Minimum 30% reduction of non-renewable primary energy consumption.
- Reduction of overall annual energy demand for heating and cooling in climate zones C (25%), D and E (35%).
- That the type of work to be carried out will be enveloping (façades, windows), and boilers.
- Maximum duration of the work: up to 26 months.
- The final recipients of the aid may assign the collection of the aid to the renovation agent or manager by means of the agreement referred to in Article 8.3 of the Royal Decree.
Program to help actions to improve energy efficiency in homes
This programme seeks to finance activities or work to improve the energy efficiency of dwellings, whether they are single-family homes or multi-family buildings. The dwellings for which funding is requested under this programme must constitute the habitual and permanent residence of their owners, usufructuaries or tenants at the time of applying for aid.
What requirements must be met to enjoy the benefits of this programme?
- Minimum 30% reduction of non-renewable primary energy consumption.
- Or reduction of overall annual energy demand for heating and cooling of 7%.
- Modification or replacement of construction elements of the thermal envelope to adapt them to the limit values of thermal transmittance and air permeability.
- Maximum duration of the work: up to 26 months.
- The minimum cost of action must be equal to or greater than € 1,000.
What is the procedure for the granting of aid?
Each Autonomous Community will approve its aid plan and will establish the application procedure. Grants are awarded by simple concurrence, which means the applications will be processed in strict order of presentation until the funds are exhausted.
