Instant transfers have many advantages for your business

In a world where speed is essential, make your payments exactly when you need them.

What are instant transfers?

Instant transfers allow you to make payments in a maximum of 10 seconds to customers, suppliers, employees and whoever you want. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Instant transfers help you improve supply chain management efficiency, avoid penalties for delays, and strengthen trust and operational agility.

What are the characteristics of instant transfers?

  • All instant transfers include a Verification of Payee (VOP) service, which checks that the beneficiary's name matches that of one of the recipient account holders.
  • They are unlimited, you can make as many instant transfers as you need.
  • No maximum amount applies at branches, subject to identity verification. Online, you can manage your own transaction limits, daily, weekly and monthly, to protect yourself against fraud.
  • They can be sent between all countries with Euro currency.
  • Reuse transfers you have already made or send multiple payment orders in a single batch.
  • You can make immediate payments via the website and remote channels (H2H).

How to make an instant transfer online

1. Log in with your credentials to your "Global Position".

2. Click on the "Domestic and international transfer" icon. For a new transfer, click "New Transfer."

3. Choose the account from which you want to send funds.

4. Choose who you want to send the transfer to; you can enter it manually or search in favourites.

5. Enter the amount you want to send and the currency. Next, enter the transfer reference

6. Select whether you want to send it as a salary or not.

7. Choose when you want to send it or whether you want to make it a recurring payment.

8. Click on continue. If the recipient name entered doesn't match the name registered at the destination bank for that account, you'll see a warning for your confirmation.

9. If everything is correct, on the next screen select the option to make your transfer instant.

What does VOP mean? Why is it important?

VOP (Verification of Payee) is a free service that allows you to check whether the name entered for the payee matches any of the account holders for the destination account, for both individual SEPA digital payments and remittances.

This will help you prevent fraud because you will be able to verify before making the transfer if the name of the beneficiary is among the account holders. The results will be: OK (only if it matches 100%), almost OK (if it matches, but is not exactly the same) or KO (if it does not coincide considerably). In KO or near-OK cases, you can perform the checks you consider to be sure that the account number is correct.

When making transfers to legal entities, please note that verification is based on the name listed as the owner, not the trademark.

If you wish, you can always proceed with your transfer regardless of the outcome of the ownership verification, keeping in mind that in the case of a KO, the funds may not reach the correct beneficiary if you have not verified with the holder and you couldn't claim the bank.
