Next Generation funds for the installation of solar panels

The European Union, through its NextGeneration EU funds, has budgeted €660 million to promote renewable energies and reduce CO2 emissions. These subsidies are for the installation of solar panels and are aimed at all households that wish to self-generate and self-consume part of or all of their energy.

Following the publication of Spanish Royal Decree 477/2021, the amount of the subsidies will be determined according to the amount of the installed power capacity, the technical characteristics of each installation and the type of beneficiary. For photovoltaic panels, the incentives amount to €600/kWp. The incorporation of storage systems into existing installations is subsidised through grants of up to €490/kWp.

The incentive programmes relating to self-consumption and energy storage also include the granting of additional aid for actions carried out in municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants.

Depending on which autonomous community and municipality you live in, you may be able to enjoy an IBI (Impuesto Sobre Bienes Inmuebles – Spanish property tax) discount of up to 50%. Some local authorities also offer financial assistance for the purchase of the installation. At Holaluz, you will receive payment for any excess energy produced through your electricity bill. What's more, we will compensate you for all the energy you don't use. In other words, the more energy you produce, the more excess energy we can buy from you. If you have a large roof and the right conditions, your bill could be €0, which means that you would pay nothing at all for your electricity.

We want you to pay nothing or as little as possible for your electricity, so you'll be able to save money from your very first bill. To make sure you don't have to worry about whether it's sunny or not, we give you a fixed amount of monthly savings. In other words, even if it rains, snows or the sun simply doesn't shine, your savings will be the same every month of the year.

Yes, we will take care of everything for you. Our specialised team of more than 20 people is dedicated to the processing of subsidies. Each procedure is closely monitored, with frequent contact with public administrations to make sure we have the most up-to-date information available.

Our service includes maintenance as part of the price, covering all breakdowns and incidents included in the warranties. In addition, for your total peace of mind, for only €12 per month we offer you a premium maintenance service that includes an annual review and cleaning of all the components of your installation to ensure its optimal operation.

The cost of the installation includes everything, including the warranties. The panels come with a 12-year guarantee, the inverter with a 5-year guarantee and, on top of that, you get a 3-year guarantee for the installation as a whole and a guarantee that your installation will have a production capacity of at least 85% for the next 25 years.

On average, the cost of your installations will be paid off in seven years. From then on, it's all about savings. Don't forget – the guaranteed lifetime of the panels is a minimum of 25 years. Moreover, if the price of electricity rises, the return on investment period will be correspondingly shorter.

If you only install panels for self-consumption, you will only be making a 50% saving. The most profitable option is for you to have energy left over and for us to be able to buy it from you. This way, you save more every month and you can pay off your investment sooner. The more energy production capacity you have on your roof, the less vulnerable you will be to changes in the future.
