Planeta Seguros Santander is the new, free service that enables customers (physical persons) who own insurance policies marketed by Santander to pay the premiums on the insurance policies that they add to the service in a single monthly payment. This can save you money on your premiums because the more policies you add to Planeta Seguros Santander, the more you save on your annual overall bill.
None. There is nothing to pay for arranging the service and you can pay monthly for your insurance at no additional cost.
From your first day you arrange Planeta Seguros Santander, for which there is no required grace period, your monthly discount will be calculated based on your active insurance policies and the premiums on the policies you add to the service. Your Planeta Seguros Santander savings are discounted from your monthly instalments.

Single premium and periodic premium insurance. With regard to single-premium policies, premiums of this type will not be payable by instalment and the single premium payment mechanism established by the insurance company will remain unchanged; however, said amount will be considered for the discounts to which you are entitled by virtue of arranging the service.
You cannot add savings insurance.
The discount will be calculated at the end of each month and does not affect or replace discounts that have already been added to your policies. Furthermore, the discount will not have any tax implications for you. In order to be eligible for the discount, you must have at least two active insurance policies added to Planeta Seguros Santander at the time of calculation. The monthly discount will be calculated as follows:
Monthly discount (€) = (sum of your annual insurance premiums x discount %)/12
The Planeta Seguros Santander billing amount paid monthly will be the result of subtracting the applicable discount from the sum of the bills issued at month-end by the insurance companies for all the policies added to the service.
This service is only available for physical persons. If you meet this requirement, then you only need to have at least one policy contracted for any of the insurance types that can be included on a Planeta Seguros Santander plan. It is not necessary to take out any additional policies.
Yes. You can enjoy Planeta Seguros Santander and start paying monthly with just one valid policy added to your plan. Remember that you need to add at least two active policies with a total annual premium of more than €500 to be eligible for discounts.
Yes. You can add as many policies for the same product for which you are policyholder as you like.
Yes. You can include your consumer and mortgage loan insurance as long as you are the policyholder.
Yes. You can include single-premium insurance (funeral and loan). Premium amounts of this type are not subject to payment by instalment and the single premium payment mechanism will remain unchanged; however, said amounts will be considered for the discounts to which you are entitled by virtue of arranging the service.
Yes. You can include both new and pre-existing insurance policies, including applications that are pending approval by the insurers.
Adding a periodic premium policy to Planeta Seguros Santander only affects the billing frequency and payment method. Once you add the policy to the service, premium payments will become due monthly as of the next billing period. The method of payment will be through Planeta Seguros Santander via a direct debit of the monthly instalment calculated based on the total due on all policies added to the service. This does not affect the single premium policies you add to the service, which the companies will continue to charge for directly. The rest of the features and policy details remain unchanged. Whenever you want to manage your Planet Seguros Santander contract you can access the 'Planeta Seguros Santander' section and check:
There is no minimum contract period. You can cancel the service whenever you like without any penalty or remove any policies you like, through the same channels used to sign up. The cancellation of the service does not incur any changes in the terms of coverage or the validity of your policies. It only affects the billing frequency and method of payment of these premiums, which will revert back to the way they were prior to inclusion on the plan. Billing frequency for your premium payments will revert on the next renewal date. From this date, the payment method for bills will change to being paid directly to the insurance companies through direct debit.
You can make the following changes to your policy at any time, through the same channels used to sign up.
Monthly, on the 25th of each month, the bank will generate and provide you with a monthly breakdown of your Planeta Seguros Santander agreement. The summary contains the following information:
On the last working day of the month, the Bank will charge the monthly instalment for your Planeta Seguros Santander agreement to your account. If at the time of debit you have insufficient funds in your account to be able to make the payment, this will be unpaid. Over the next 15 days, the bank will try on a daily basis to debit the monthly fee from your account. After said period, if the bank has been unable to take payment, your plan will be considered unpaid and it will be automatically cancelled due to breach of contract.
