How do I request a replacement or duplicate card?

Have you lost your bank card? Is it so damaged that you can't use it? Is it about to expire? Read on to learn about your options for requesting a replacement or duplicate of your debit or credit cards.

If you need to renew your card because of damage, you can first block it via the app or online banking.

Via the Santander app

Access your accounts overview using your password and follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the drop-down menu on the right-hand side via the icon with the three horizontal lines, and select "My products".
  2. Choose "Cards" and then select the card you are interested in renewing, click on the "+" symbol and tick "Lock card".

Via online banking

Access your personal menu with your ID and password, and follow the steps below:

  1. In the top menu, click on "Accounts and cards" and then "Cards".
  2. Choose the card you want to renew and tick "Block card".
  3. Then under "Reason for blocking" choose either "Lost/Theft" or "Damage" and click "OK".

In both channels you will need to have an active and operational electronic signature to complete your request.

However, if your card is about to expire, you do not need to do anything. Your new Santander credit or debit card will automatically be delivered to your home during the month in which your old card expires.
